  • The 5 Best NutriBullet Blenders:

    1. NutriBullet Rx N17-1001 Blender – Best Overall

    NutriBullet Rx N17-1001 Blender

The NutriBullet RX N17-1001 Blender has a 1700-watt motor. It comes with a 30-ounce cup and a one-liter pitcher that makes it convenient to make single servings, as well as larger servings for the whole family.

The RX N17-1001 has a heating cycle to blend hot soups and sauces. It also has hands-free SMART technology with an automatic start/stop feature for the right blend. We found it challenging to blend anything that wasn’t pretty much liquified. The problem is that when the blender first starts, it’s too powerful. There’s no way to slow it down to blend thicker consistency items effectively. It also doesn’t help that a lot of liquid is needed for things to blend appropriately.

After many uses, we took the unit apart, including the removable plastic parts and springs, and found a ton of mold and another black build-up inside the housing unit.

All in all, we think this is the best NutriBullet blender of the year.

    Pros
    • 1700-watt motor
    • 30-ounce cup
    • One-liter pitcher
    • Single and family serving sizes
    • Heating cycle
    • Hands-free SMART technology with auto start/stop
    Cons
    • Not good for blending thicker consistency items
    • Needs lots of liquid to blend properly
    • Housing collects mold

    2. NutriBullet 12-Piece Blender – Best Value

    NutriBullet NBR-1201 12-Piece System

The NutriBullet NBR-1201 12-Piece System has a 600-watt motor that effortlessly pulverizes all fruits, vegetables, and superfoods with its powerful, patented stainless steel blade. This system comes complete with everything you need: one tall cup, two short cups, a flat blade, an emulsifying blade, two re-sealable lids, a pocket nutritionist, and a manual with recipes.

This blender doesn’t work well on frozen fruits and vegetables, even when using an adequate amount of liquids. After a few times of blending frozen foods, the mixer began to leak as if the seal wasn’t completely tight. We’ve also read several reviews that mention the same issue, though some are worse than others.

It may also be important to know that NutriBullet recommends that the blades be replaced every six months.

To conclude, we think  that this is the best NutriBullet blender for the money.

    Pros
    • 600-watt motor
    • Pulverizes superfoods effortlessly
    • Stainless steel blade with cyclone action
    • Includes cups, blades, lids, and pocket nutritionist
    Cons
    • Blades need to be replaced every six months per NutriBullet
    • Doesn’t work well with frozen fruits or veggies
    • Leaks

    3. NutriBullet Balance Bluetooth Smart-Blender

NutriBullet Balance, Bluetooth Enabled Smart Blender

The NutriBullet Balance is a Bluetooth-enabled smart blender that operates by connecting to an app on your smartphone. This is so you can set and track your nutritional goals on your phone, and so it can calculate the exact nutritional value of your smoothies.

There are a few problems with the app, though. It doesn’t sync with MyfitnessPal or Fitbit, and it also doesn’t allow you to add ingredients to its generic database. There are not very many recipes in the app, and it has an awful search feature. If you search for a recipe by name, such as any chicken dish, it will pull up every recipe with chicken as an ingredient. This app controls everything, including turning the blender on and off.

This blender includes a powerful 1200-watt motor, two cups, one extractor blade, two flip-top to-go lids, two lip rings, one user guide, and a manual. It’s easy to use but requires your food to be cut into small pieces to blend properly. While it’s working, it’s very loud, and the lid with the blades tightens to the point that it’s challenging to get off.

    Pros
    • Built-in Bluetooth smart technology that connects to phone app
    • Set and track personal nutrition goals
    • Includes cups, lids, lip rings, blade, and user guide
    Cons
    • Everything runs through app (including turning it on and off)
    • Poor quality app
    • Food must be cut into small pieces
    • Blade difficult to remove
    • Loud

    4. NutriBullet Pro 13-Piece Blender/Mixer System

    NutriBullet Pro - 13-Piece High-Speed Blender/Mixer System

The NutriBullet Pro is a 900-watt, high-speed blender with a powerful, patented stainless steel blade that will pulverize any type of food. This system includes two cups, one emulsifying blade, two flip-top lids, two handled lip rings, a pocket nutritionist, a hard-cover recipe book, and a user manual.

There are a few issues with the Pro model, though. The construction materials aren’t as good as they were with past models. We also noticed that it doesn’t run very smoothly. The unit bounces on the countertop while it’s blending, and it’s so loud that you want to leave the room while it’s running.

The base unscrews while blending, which causes leaking. When your drink is made, there are little plastic tabs that hold the drinking lids in place. These tabs break off very easily, so that the lids cannot be used.

    Pros
    • 900-watt motor
    • Powerful stainless steel blade
    • Includes blade, cups, lids, lip rings, manual, recipe book, and pocket nutritionist
    Cons
    • Cheap construction compared to past models
    • Loud
    • Unscrews base while in use
    • Bounces while blending
    • Plastic pieces that hold lids in place break easily

    5. NutriBullet 8-Piece Blender/Mixer System

    NutriBullet 8-Piece High-Speed Blender/Mixer System

The NutriBullet 8-Piece is a high-speed blender with a 600-watt motor and a stainless steel blade with cyclone action to mix your drinks thoroughly. The whole mixing system includes one tall cup, one short cup, one emulsifying blade, one handled lip ring, one comfort lip ring, a pocket nutritionist, and a manual with recipes.

This blender is made entirely out of plastic, and it tends to wear out faster than other products like it. Before blending, be sure the blade cover is screwed very tight or it will leak. It also seems to tighten more as it blends, and with the cups not having any handles, it’s hard to get a good grip to get the cover off.

There are slots that the plastic tabs on the cover slide under to lock the blender into the self-run mode, so you don’t have to push the cup down the whole time it’s mixing. Sometimes the tabs don’t line up with the slots, and it’s difficult to get them into the right spot.

    Pros
    • 600-watt motor
    • Stainless steel blade with cyclone action
    • Includes cups, lip rings, blade, recipe manual, and pocket nutritionist
    Cons
    • Blade cover leaks
    • Blade cover hard to get off
    • Cup hard to seat into base with blade attachment
    • Made of plastic
    • Wears out faster than others

Buyer’s Guide: Choosing the Best NutriBullet Blenders

    Why a NutriBullet?

Many fruits and vegetables get most of their health benefits from the skin and seeds. Apples are a great example. The skin of the apple contains more than 50% of the fruit’s fiber. The NutriBullet can easily break down the whole fruit so you get 100% of its benefits. You can also add yogurt, nuts, and seeds to make fantastic nutritional smoothies.

Are the NutriBullet and fancy food processors the same?

The NutriBullet doesn’t just chop up food; it makes great smoothies and soups. A NutriBullet’s blades work much like a food processor, but since they blend directly into the cup, none of the nutrients are lost.

The only downside to NutriBullets is if you want to chop large quantities of food, as they only blend in the cup you drink from. NutriBullets are only suitable for smaller, individual servings. They are much smaller than food processors, so they don’t take up as much counter space.

What is the difference between the NutriBullet and a juicer?

As stated above, the NutriBullet can cut through skin, peel, and seeds to gain all of the nutritional value. Many juicers require some foods to be peeled and deseeded. This means that you don’t get the full nutritional value.

What is the difference between the NutriBullet and a blender?

Both NutriBullets and blenders can break down a variety of foods effectively. The NutriBullet blends directly into the drinking cup. The container’s shape and the high-speed blades create a cyclone effect inside the cup that pushes the food towards the blades, where it’s quickly liquified and mixed together.

The NutriBullet is easy to use and easy to clean. The cups are dishwasher safe, and the blades can be washed with dish soap and warm water.

Examples of some things the NutriBullet can make:

    1. Almond milk:
Soak one cup of almonds overnight. In the morning, drain them, and place them in the NutriBullet with two cups of water. Strain out any small particles for a smooth drink.

    2. DIY face masks:
In your NutriBullet, combine a tablespoon of honey, a quarter cup of milk, half a cucumber, and a tablespoon of brown sugar. Blend until smooth and apply to face.

    3. Mocha Frappuccino:
Combine one-third of a cup of regular coffee, two tablespoons of chocolate syrup, and three tablespoons of sugar in your NutriBullet. Blend for about ten seconds and put in your refrigerator to cool down. Once cool, you can add ice and milk and blend until the froth is to your taste.
