  • The 5 Best Brita Water Filter Pitchers:

    1. Brita Everyday Pitcher with Filters – Best Overall

    Brita Everyday

The Brita Everyday Pitcher is an affordable way to get pure filtered water that’s free of mercury, chlorine, copper, and other common contaminants. Best of all, the water tastes amazing and you’ll look forward to how refreshing and delicious it is. This one holds 10 cups of water to last most of the day on one fill. It uses standard Brita filters, but you can also get it with the Longlast filter, which will last for six months of daily filtration.

While we enjoyed this filter overall, it had a few flaws that we weren’t thrilled about. To start, this is an open design and the pouring spout doesn’t have a lid. This isn’t the end of the world, but we’d prefer to see a covered lid. Second, the filter indicator is a sticker instead of the button-operated light that’s built into other models. Despite these two setbacks, the Everyday Pitcher was fast, efficient, and provided excellent tasting water for an affordable price, which is why it has earned our top recommendation as the best Brita water filter pitcher.

    Pros
    • Available with Longlast filter
    • 10-cup capacity
    • Affordably priced filtration
    Cons
    • Open design has no flap
    • The filter indicator is a sticker

    2. Brita Metro Pitcher with Filter – Best Value

    Brita Metro

As the lowest-priced Brita pitcher we tested, we weren’t sure what to expect from the Metro. In the end, its mix of excellent performance and affordable price pleasantly surprised us, which is why we think it’s the best Brita water filter pitcher for the money. It has filter indicator lights built into the lid so you always know how much lifespan is left before you need to change the filter. It does have a pretty limited capacity of just five cups, which we kept wishing was bigger. However, the small capacity is a quirk of the space-saving design that fits easily into any fridge.

Like some of the other inexpensive Brita pitchers, the Metro has an open design with no lid over the pouring spout. We prefer this to close so that our filtered water isn’t exposed. The lid locks, so it won’t fall out when you go to pour from the pitcher. Altogether, the excellent water quality and low cost of the Metro Pitcher helped it earn our number two spot and the title of best value.

    Pros
    • Very affordable
    • Indicator lights for the filter
    • Space-efficient design
    • Locking lid
    Cons
    • Open design leaves your water exposed
    • Small capacity of fivecups

    3. Brita 10-Cup Water Filter Pitcher – Premium Choice

    Brita 36397

Though it’s priced a bit higher than many of the other Brita pitchers, we think the Monterey water filter pitcher is worth the extra cost, which is why it’s our premium choice pick. This one comes with the Longlast filter that’s good for six months of daily filtering or 900 standard water bottles worth of filtered water. The Monterey has a large reservoir that holds 10 cups of filtered water—ready to quench your thirst at any moment with a delicious and crisp taste.

This is one of the larger, heavier units, so expect it to take up a bit more real estate in your refrigerator. It’s equipped with important features, such as the filter status indicator lights built into the lid. The Monterey is also one of the few Brita filter pitchers that have a flap to keep the pouring spout covered when resting. Overall, we think it’s one of the best Brita filter pitchers there is, even if it is a bit more costly.

    Pros
    • Uses the Longlast filter
    • The status indicator light on the lid
    • 10-cup water capacity
    Cons
    • On the expensive side

    4. Brita Large 10 Cup Water Filter Pitcher

    Brita Grand Pitchers

There was plenty to like about the Brita Large 10-cup water filter pitcher, but several longevity issues held it back from achieving our recommendation. We appreciated the large water capacity of 10 cups, but several other models have the same capacity. This one includes a lid flap to close the pouring spout, which we were glad to see. It also includes the standard filter indicator lights, so you always know when your filter is ready for replacement.

Despite being one of the more expensive models, it’s also less durable than the other ones we tested. Ours developed a leak where the handle attaches into the reservoir, which rendered it pretty much useless. This happened after just a few months of use. From the beginning, the loose lid wouldn’t stay locked and would open during pouring. It even fell off at one point, but no damage was sustained. We wanted to like this filter, but even with the 10-cup capacity, other pitchers in the Brita lineup were more solidly built.

    Pros
    • 10-cup water capacity
    • Flap to close the reservoir
    • Filter indicator lights
    Cons
    • The loose top wouldn’t stay locked
    • Developed a leak where the handle attaches
    • One of the more expensive models

    5. Brita 36035 Space Saver Pitcher

    Brita 36035

We liked the cheap price of the Brita 36035 Space Saver pitcher filter, but we didn’t like the cheap build quality. It doesn’t take up much fridge space, so even crowded refrigerators should be able to fit this pitcher. Not surprisingly, the capacity is also low at just six cups. We were thankful for the spout cover, which keeps the reservoir closed when the pitcher is not in use, but ours broke off after just a few weeks. Worse, the handle started falling apart shortly thereafter. The plastic on the back came off and left the handle jagged and rough. It still worked, but it was no longer comfortable to use. Altogether, it’s not very well built, and though it’s priced affordably, we think other filter pitchers in the Brita lineup provide a better experience for the price.

    Pros
    • Doesn’t consume much fridge space
    Cons
    • Only holds six cups
    • Spout cover broke off
    • Handle started to fall apart

With several to choose from, it may be a difficult decision to determine which one best suits your needs. To that end, we’ve tried them all and written up reviews of the top five.

Our favorite overall was the Brita Everyday Pitcher which brings an incredible 10-cup water capacity to an affordable price point. It’s also available with the Longlast filter that will last up to three times longer than a standard Brita filter. For the best value, we suggest checking out the Brita Metro Pitcher. It’s one of the lowest-priced Brita filter pitchers available. Plus, it has great features like filter indicator lights, a space-saving design, and a locking lid that won’t open when you pour.  For the best in Brita pitcher filters, our premium pick was the Monterey Pitcher. It’s got an impressive 10-cup capacity with important features like a pouring spout lid, and a filter status indicator light, and it comes with the Longlast filter.
