We give the Ryobi P208 Drill a rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars.
Review Summary
Reasonably priced and really powerful, Ryobi’s P208 provides a versatile mix of motor speeds and torquing power to a basic cordless drill/driver tool. Depending on what you need it for, its power can be ramped up to remove nut heads or it can be slowed to sink screws into wood. It works well across the spectrum and with its weight, size and light is as good in hard-to-reach/hard-to-see places as it is out in the open. That compact size is also its primary defect. If you have large hands, you might find it a little difficult to hold on to.

Brand name: Ryobi Model: P208 Type: Drill Pool type: Cordless Voltage: 18v Dimensions: 12 x 3 x 9 inches Weight: 3 lbs. The P208 comes with a two-speed transmission to allow you to customize the amount of power you put behind your drill. This allows you to shift easily from a high-speed drill, especially when the battery is fully charged, to a low-speed, high-torque screwdriver. This allows you to work with a variety of bits across a variety of jobs types all of which require the motor of your cordless drill to operate at different speeds. There is nothing more frustrating on the job than searching for, and swapping out, the bit you need for the job. The Ryobi P208 eases that headache with its half-inch keyless chuck with automatic spindle lock for easy bit changes. What’s more, it has a magnetic strip on it that allows you onboard storage for every bit you’ll need during a job. This is not only convenient but spares you the hassle of searching through your toolboxes everytime you need a different bit. As a part of the Ryobi One+ tool family, the P208 is more than just a drill. It’s part of a workshop system that applies a universal solution to a nagging problem, which is providing power to all of them. With the same models of batteries to power hundreds of different tools, Ryobi’s One+ system allows you to quickly and easily swap out power sources from drills to radios to lawn trimmers to impact wrenches. It also cuts down on the expense of buying different batteries for different kinds of tools and reduces the headache of managing all those power cords and chargers. How many positions are there for the clutch? There are 24 different clutch settings, allowing you to choose from a wide range of torque settings. How does this work in hard-to-see situations? The P208 has an LED working light on it that allows you to illuminate the area that you’re working so that you can see what you’re doing. What kind of warranty covers this? All of Ryobi’s One+ tools come with the same two-year warranty. Just about everyone will find something to like about the P208. It’s powerful, with a wide range of speeds and torquing power available. It is designed for painless, headache-free swapping out of bits, and it has a compact size and weight that is perfect for mobility and maneuverability.
